To download your own YouTube videos you don’t need to do much, but there are quite few ways to download your own YouTube videos. You can download YouTube videos from your Video Manager, through Google Takeout and through a third-party YouTube video downloading tool. In this tutorial, I will be showing you how to download your own YouTube videos with and without any third-party tools.
#1: Download YouTube Videos from Video Manager
YouTube provide the users with a Video Manager section where you can manage all your YouTube videos. From the video manager, you can change the info and Settings, do video enhancement, manage audio, add annotation and card, add subtitles and CC and, of course, promote your video.
Apart from this there are two more options in the YouTube video manager and that is Delete and Download MP4 option. The Delete option lets you delete your YouTube videos and the Download Mp4 option is the thing you need to download the videos from YouTube website.
So, login to your YouTube account and Go to YouTube video manager. You can access the Video Manager page going to youtube.com/my_videos or from My Channel. From the My Channel tab, click on Video Manager tab to view all your videos.
Scroll down and find the video that you would like to download. If you have several videos then use the search bar provided at the right corner to find the video.
Note: If you want to download all your YouTube videos at once, then move to the second method.
Once you have the video that you wish to download, click on the down arrow button beside edit button. From the list of options, select Download MP4.
Now depending on your browser settings, you may be asked to choose the directory in your PC to save the video. If not, the video will start downloading automatically in MP4 format, but in only 480p resolution.
#2: Download all the YouTube Videos
Now if you don’t want to download each video manually one after another then you can download all your Videos at once using the Google Takeout feature. This would also come in handy if you want to download your YouTube videos in their original resolution as you have uploaded them because with the first method you can only download your videos at 480p resolution.
Another advantage would be that you can download all your YouTube videos at once and then upload them to other video streaming site with less hassle.
Begin with pointing your browser to Google.com/takeout/custom/youtube. Click on Next button, select File type as .zip or your preferred format and at last click on Create Archive button.
Now google will create an archive of your YouTube videos and once the progress bar reaches 100%, you will see a download button.
Click on Download button to start downloading your videos. Google will split the files into 2GB if your archive is larger than 2GB.
Once you have the archive you can either directly upload it to any other video streaming service or you can unzip the file and watch your own videos? Well, doesn’t look like a bad idea, though!
#3: Use Third Party Tools
Well, now if you want to download your own YouTube videos in HD or Full HD format or in the original format, but don’t want to download all the videos, then you can make use of third-party YouTube video downloading tools.
I would recommend en.savefrom.net for this task. This has to be the simplest service with easy to understand UI allowing the users to download their own YouTube videos at different resolution You can begin with 144p to the max video resolution available including 720p (HD) or 1080p (FHD).
Simply visit the above-mentioned URL, copy the video URL which you want to download from YouTube. Put it in the given field, select the video quality and your video will start downloading.
