Fix Insufficient Storage Available Error on Android Device

If you have been installing lots of Apps on your Android device, then you might have come across ” Insufficient Storage Available” Error on your Android device. This error is limited to your Phone’s primary storage. Here is how you can fix insufficient storage available error on your Android device.

The Insufficient storage available error is quiet self-explanatory. The error occurs when your Android device’s internal storage device doesn’t have enough storage space to install apps or other contents. As I said earlier, this error could also occur even if you have plenty of free storage available on your secondary / external storage as it is related to your primary storage /  internal memory.

Now to fix this error all you have to do is do a bit of cleaning of your primary storage by deleting unwanted junks. Here are few steps you should follow to fix insufficient storage available error on your Android device.

Step 1: Delete APP Cache to Fix Insufficient Storage Available Error

App Cache takes lots of space on your Android device and everything will be stored on your internal storage. So, to fix this error, you can start with cleaning App Cache on your device. Here is how you can do it.

1. Go to Settings on your device.

2. Next, under Phone Settings find System section and tap on Storage.

3. Next, tap on Cache / Cached Data.

4. Next, tap on OK to delete the App Cache on your Android device.

Now try to install new app or do whatever you were trying to do and see if the Insufficient Storage Available error occurs or disappears.

Step 2: Delete Large and Unwanted Files

Now if the first step didn’t resolve insufficient storage available error then you might need to delete any unwanted file or document occupying space on your device. Now if you know which file  exactly is occupying lost of free space on your device you can delete it manually using file Manager.

However, in case you are not sure, you can make use of an app called SD Maid. This app will allow you to find and delete large files easily. Simply, download and install the app on your device, run it and tap on Biggest. Now delete any file you think is unnecessarily taking up space on your Android phone.

That’s it! Once you have freed up space on your Android device, you will not see Insufficient storage available error on your device.
