The rumble effect does feel great on your PS 4’s Dualshock 4 controller. However, this also drains battery of your device faster. Basically, it is recommended to turn off the Vibration on your Dualshock 4 controller to increase the battery life.
To disable vibration on your Duashock 4 Controller, go to Settings > Devices > Controller. Under Controllers section, Disable Vibration, which might be set to enable by default.
2. Decrease the Volume
You can connect your headphone to PS4’s Dualshock 4 controller to hear the gameplay audio. However, this feature also effects your controller’s battery life. What you can do is, decrease the volume of the controller a bit or according to your requirement. To do this go to Settings > Devices > Controllers > Volume Control . Now you can decrease or increase the Volume of your controller.
3. Turn of the Controller When not in Use
Why keep your Dualshock 4 controller on all the time even when it’s not in use or idle state? So, it’s recommended to turn off the PS 4 controller when it’s in idle state. You can set the controller to turn off automatically after 10 minutes or more. To do this, go to Settings > Power Save Settings > Set Time Until Controllers Turn Off. Next, you can set the Automatic Turn Off time to anywhere between after 10 minutes to after 60 minutes. Alternatively, you can also turn off the controller manually by pressing and holding the PS button for 10 seconds.
