YU recently released Cyanogen 12 update based on Android 5.0 Lollipop to Yureka smartphone. We have also covered a guide on how to update Yu Yureka to Cyanogen 12 Android 5.0 Lollipop. However, the update wasn’t as smooth as expected resulting in new bugs and performance issues for the users. One of the issue is with Proximity Sensor of the device, which is causing the phone’s screen to turn off / go blank during calls (Incoming and out Going). Sometimes the screen turns off as soon as your device rings, making it difficult to receive the call. As the issue is quiet common among the users, company must be working hard to fix the issue in the next update. In the main time here is a quick fix to solve this problem on your YU Yureka device.
How to Fix Blank Screen Issue During Incoming and Out Going Calls in Yu Yureka
Note: This is a quick fix. A permanent fix might get released in the upcoming update.
As noted above, the problem is with the Proximity Sensor of YU Yureka. Now to solve this problem, you have to calibrate the proximity sensors manually with a given short code below. However, do note that you should have Yu Yureka smartphone running latest Cyanogen 12 OS to use this fix.
Step 1: Unlock your device and open the DialPad.
Step 2: Now dial below given code:
Step 3: This should bring up Proximity Calibrate Info screen on your device.
Step 4: Next, you have to tap on Start to initiate the process.
Step 5: Wait till you see Calibration Good message at the bottom of the window.
Once done, tap on Exit button to exit the Calibrate Screen. Now try making a call to your device from other cellular device, and see if it has fixed the issue. Do comment below, if it has fixed the issue.
