How to Embed Videos from Facebook on Your Website

Video streaming sites like YouTube doesn’t allows the users to download copyrighted videos and then upload it to other websites. However, it does allows the users to Embed its videos on their website. Similarly, Facebook also allows the users to embed Facebook videos on other websites. Here is how to embed Facebook videos on your website.

Facebook recently started to allow its users to embed Facebook videos on their website with the help of a piece of code. Other video streaming websites like YouTube, Videmo and Dailymotion had this video embed feature for long time now.

Now if you come across an interesting video while browsing Facebook, you can always embed them on your blog or website and share it with your visitors. All you have to do is, copy the embed code from Facebook and paste it on your website or blog. 

However, do note that unlike YouTube or other video streaming websites, Facebook video embedding feature has some restrictions as it’s a social networking site and the company has to comply with users privacy policy. The restriction here is  you can only embed and share videos which available for Public on Facebook. Although, you can embed a private video, but your visitors or users won’t be able to watch it.

How to Embed Videos from Facebook on Your Website

1. Login to your Facebook account.

2. Find and play any video that you would like to share.

3. Next, click on Option button at the bottom right of your video player screen.

4.  Select Embed video from the option. 

5. Now a pop up would appear showing embed code. Simply copy the embed code and paste it on your blog.

Now if you are using WordPress, then the above given method may not work on your blog. However, you can make use of below given custom script to show Facebook videos on your website.

Once you have pasted the code, enter your Facebook video URL in the given area.  Additionally you can also change the width of your video player. Once done, publish your post to see the video in action.
