Unlike Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 PC requires you to login before you can access your system with your Live account. Since your PC is tied to your Live account / hotmail account, you need to enter login credentials of your Hotmail / Live account to login to the PC. Although, this is a security feature, you can still disable it in case you don’t have problem leaving your PC without securing it with password. How to Disable Login Screen in Windows 10
Step 1: Login to your PC with Live account credentials.
Step 2: Press Windows Key + R to open the Run window. Or Right click on Start button and select Run option.
Step 3: In the Run window, type in netplwiz and hit enter. Now if you have User Account Control enabled, then allow the program to make changes by clicking on OK.
Step 4: Next, the User Account window will open. Under Users for this computer, you will see all your accounts being displayed. Select the account for which you want to disable login screen.
Step 5: Once you have selected the account, uncheck “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer”. As the name indicates, unchecking this option will disable your login screen or will not ask for Live account credentials while logging in.
Step 6: Click on Apply button to apply changes.
That’s it. Now restart your Windows 10 running PC to see if the changes have been saved. You should directly see your desktop screen without prompting for entering username and password. However, do note that disabling login screen will be less secure compared to a password protected computer as anyone can gain access to your PC without the need of entering password for login.
