How to Add Your Website to Google Analytics


Google Analytics is a useful tool for tracking your websites traffic and conversion rate. However, there are several other important features offered by Google Analytics, including real-time traffic and visitors. Now if you want to add your website to Google Analytics, here is how you can do it. 


How to Add Your Website to Google Analytics 

Note: The following steps demonstrates how to add your new website to Google Analytics for the time users. 

Step 1: Login to your Google Analytics account.

Step 2: Next, fill the New Account form. Enter your Website name in the name field,  your website URL in the given URL field and click Get tracking ID button.

Step 3:  Next, to begin tracking of website copy and paste the tracking ID given by Google Analytics on your website.  You have to add the Google Analytics tracking ID to footer of your website. In case you don’t want  to mess with the template, install any Google Analyutics ID tracking plugin and paste the code in the given field.

That’s it. you have successfully added your website to Google Analytics. In case you are already using Google Analytics and want to add your other websites to it, then here is how you can do it.

Step 1: Login to your Analytics account.

Step 2: Click on Admin tab (top right corner).

Step 3: Now under Administration, click on Account and then select Create new account.

Step 4: Next, you have to fill the form again with your Website name and website URL. After filling the form, copy the tracking ID and add it to your website’s footer. 

Always make sure that your tracking ID is correctly added by going to real-time visitors section. Google Analytics is said to be one of the best tracking and stats tool for bloggers. As it provides more accurate results than any other stats tool.
