How to Enable – Disable Start Menu on Windows 10 PC and Tablet


The software giant Microsoft has announced its next version of computer OS Windows 10 in an event recently. Moreover, along with the release of Windows 10, you will get Start menu back in your PC. Here is a tutorial on how to enable or disable start menu in Windows 10.

With the release of Windows 10, Microsoft has brought back its most wanted feature Start Menu, which was not included in Windows 8. If you are planning to have Windows 10 installed on your PC then start menu will come pre-enabled if you have mice and keyboard connected to your PC. If you own any touch enabled device with Windows 10 then you will have start screen pre-enabled.

How to Enable Start Screen in Windows 10

Step 1: Right click on Taskbar in your Windows 10 PC.

Step 2: In Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window click on Start Menu tab.

Step 3: Check “Use the Start menu instead of the Start screen”.

Step 4: Now click on OK and then on Sign out and change settings.

Step 5: Now your settings will be saved and you should see Start menu instead of start screen.

How to Disable Start screen in Windows 10.

Step 1: Right click on Taskbar and select Properties.

Step 2: Click on Start Menu tab and uncheck “Use the Start menu instead of the Start screen”.

Step 3: Click on OK and Sign out and change settings to save the settings.
