How to Change Fonts on Android Phone

One of the best thing about using Android running device is it allows you customize your Android device the way you want. Android is so customisable that you could even change the default Android font and apply your favourite font. Follow this guide to know how to change fonts on Android phone.

The most important thing you need to change font on your device is that you need a rooted Android device as the app we are going to use is only supported by rooted Android device. If you have not rooted your device, then find a root guide for your device, root it and then proceed with this guide.

Another required tool is Xposed Framework. It allows you install apps on your rooted device. This Framework is also necessary to install Fronter app. Fonter allows you to download and Install fonts on your Android device.

How to Change Fonts on Android Phone

Note: You need to enable unknown sources under Settings >> Personal >> Security >> Turn on Unknown Sources. This allows you  to install apps from unknown sources. 

Step 1: Download and Install Xposed Framework.

Step 2: Once installed, launch Xposed Installer app.

Step 3: Tap on Downloads and type fonter in the search bar.

Step 4: Tap on Fonter – Android font manager.

Step 5: Tap on Versions tab (top right) and click on Download button beside latest version of the app.

Step 6: After downloading completes, you will be prompted to install fonter APK.

Step 7: After Fonter successfully installed. Open Xposed Installer, tap Modules and check Fonter.

Step 8: Now you will be asked to reboot. Complete the installation by rebooting your device.

Step 9: Now you can access Fonter from app drawer in your device.

Step 10: Open Fonter and you will see lots of fonts in different languages.

Step 11: Now search for any fonts you wish to apply, tap on it and download.

Step 12: After completion of your download, you will have two options. Change APP Font and Change System Font.

Step 13: If you want to change System font, tap Change System Font.

Step 14: If you want to change font of a specific app, tap Change AAP Font, select your app and apply.

If you choose Change System Font, then you will be prompted to reboot your Android device. Reboot it to apply your new font and see it live.
