How to Transfer Photos from iPhone to Windows PC

Method 1: Transfer Photos using Photo Gallery

Step 1: Unlock your iPhone and find your compatible USB data cable.

Step 2: Found? Great! Now connect your iPhone using USB data cable to your PC.

Step 3: Now open up Windows Live Photo Gallery on your PC.

Step 4: In Windows Live Photo Gallery window, click on Home tab.

Step 5: Under Home tab, click on Import.

Step 6: Under Photos and Videos window, you should find your iPhone under scanner and cameras.

Step 7: If you don’t find your iPhone listed there, then check whether you have connected your device correctly or not.

Step 8: Select your listed device (iPhone) and click on Import button at the bottom.

Step 9: Now a new pop up window will appear, click on More options at the bottom (if you only want to transfer photos from your iPhone).

Step 10: In the next window, select options like where to import, folder name etc and click OK.

Step 11: Select “Review, organize, and group items to import” and click Next.

Step 12: Now select the folders you wish to import and click on Import to finish importing process.

Method 2: Directly connecting iPhone to PC

This is a straightforward method and does not require you to use any third party software for importing purpose.

Step 1: Connect your iPhone using USB data cable to your PC.

Step 2: Open My computer on your PC.

Step 3: In the navigation pane (left side) under Computer, you should see your iPhone listed.

Step 4: Double click on your iPhone or listed device to open it.

Step 5: Double click on Internal storage.

Step 6: Now you should see your Photos folder (DCIM).

Step 7: Find all your Photos in subfolders and copy them to your PC.
