How to Delete Files Directly Without Sending Them to Recycle Bin?
Method 1: Delete Files by Changing Recycle Bin Properties.
Step 1: Right Click on Recycle Bin icon on your Desktop.
Step 2: Select Properties from the options.
Step 3: From Settings for selected location section select “Don’t move files to the Recycle Bin. Remove files immediately when deleted”.
Step 4: Now, click on Apply to save the settings.
All set? Now, confirm it by deleting any demo file and see if it is deleted or is moved to Recycle Bin.
Method 2: Delete Files Directly Using Shift key.
The second method is much easier to execute, but is a manual task. However, this comes in handy when you have to delete a specific file directly. Just Right-click on the file you wish to delete, hold shift on your Keyboard and select Delete from the options. Follow these steps to do the same.
Step 1: Find and click/select a file you wish to delete.
Step 2: Now hold SHIFT key on your Keyboard.
Step 3: While holding SHIFT key, Right-Click on that file and select Delete from the options.
Step 4: Now, if you are prompted to confirm the decision to delete that file completely, click OK.
By following any of the above method, you can delete files directly without sending them to Recycle Bin. This is useful; if you don’t want to go through the second process of removing file completely from the Recycle Bin.
