If you have kids at home, then they will love to play with your Windows Phone 8 smartphone. But, what if they accidentally delete important data like Emails, Apps, Office documents, etc. from your device while playing? This can happen to anyone and anytime, so to avoid such situation you can utilize a very useful built-in feature in Windows Phone 8 called Kid’s Corner.
Kid’s Corner, a place on your phone where you add specific apps, games, music and videos only for your children and the rest of the things will be kept hidden from them. So that your child can play with your device without messing up with your data and phone settings. Using and setting up kid’s corner is easy. Follow these steps to know how to set up kid’s corner on Windows Phone 8 smartphone.

Note: I have also included an official video from Microsoft showing how to use kid’s corner on Windows Phone 8 later in the post. Just in case if you don’t understand my English :D! Jokes apart, let us see how to do this.
How to Setup Kid’s Corner on Windows Phone 8
Step 1: Go to home screen, select Apps list, Settings, tap on Kid’s Corner and tap Next.
Step 2: Now you have to add apps, music, videos and games to the list.
Step 3: To add content to Kid’s Corner, tap on Apps and select apps you wish to add and then tap OK. Repeat the same step for music, videos and games as well.
Alternatively, you can also add apps to kid’s Corner directly from the app list. To do this Tap and hold any app you want to add and then select add to Kid’s Corner from the options.
Step 4: Once you have added required apps, tap on Next.
Step 5: Now you have set lock screen password, only if you have not added it already. Set lock screen password and proceed with next step.
Step 6: Tap on Finish to complete Kid’s Corner set up.
How to Use Kid’s Corner
Once you have set up Kid’s Corner, it is time to see it working. Follow these steps to know how to use Kid’s Corner.
Step 1: From your lock screen, swipe left to get Kid’s Corner Lock screen.
Step 2: Now in Kid’s Corner lock screen swipe up to open it.
Step 3: Also, your kids can customise their lock screen by changing tile color, resizing or changing the background image.
How to Leave Kid’s Corner
To leave Kid’s Corner, simply press the power button and press it again to get your main lock screen.
Note: You can turn off Kid’s Corner by navigating to Apps List, Settings, Kid’s Corner and turn it off.
