After the trial period expires you have to pay the small amount around $ 0.99 (INR 55) which extends the license period to one more year.

Paying Rs 55 or $0.99 isn’t a big deal; however, the problem is carrier billing. Most of the carriers don’t allow you to pay using the balance on your smartphone. And that is where most of the users look for alternative ways to get the app for free after it expires. Anyways if you cannot pay for the app because of carrier billing then here we have a small workaround that will extend your WhatsApp trial period to another one year from the date of expiry.

Step 5: Now again open WhatsApp and create a new account with new information.

Step 6: Now check your Whatsapp expiry date by navigating to > Settings > Account > Payment info. Now you should see extended trial period of your WhatsApp account.

Method 2: Delete -Uninstall and Reinstall WhatsApp

The second method requires you to delete reinstall WhatsApp from your device, to do this follow below steps.

Step 1: Uninstall WhatsApp either through settings or using Application manager.

Step 2: Download and install it again. You can download Whatsapp by visiting official website www.whatsapp.com or visit Google Play Store for Android, Apps store for iPhone or Ovi Store for Nokia device and Windows Phone store for Windows Phone device.

Step 3: Create a new account and that’ it.

Note: It is always recommended to support the developer by purchasing the license. Follow this trick if you really can’t pay the small amount of Rs 55 ($0.99). WhatsApp currently extends the trial period as soon as the user reach the expiry period. This seems like an offer limited to Indian residents only.

Update: WhatsApp has reportedly removed restriction and made WhatsApp free for the time being. You may receive a notification notifying about the same. So, you don’t need to use any of this tricks anymore as WhatsApp is free for lifetime.

      • just like me, He would have come to see how many greedy people were here.. I wish you all should go back to traditional sms/mms as the service providers charge 60-70 rs every month for 100 sms limit and international sms for rs.5, I don’t have to say about MMS charges..

        • If you have flashed your phone, it’s difficult but not impossible. If it’s just an accidental deletion, you can find the message back up databases in your internal memory.. Inside Whatsapp folder. If it’s there, recon figuring the same account may prompt you that you have message backups, to restore. For more details, Google is your friend. Make sure you do it within 7 days. For some reason whatsapp doesn’t allow restoration of the files those are more than 7 days old.

I did NOT agree to share my data with Facebook and the three times they asked me I declined, now there is no option to decline.

I have already contacted Data Protection authorities about this breach of FTC and EU Data Protection Laws.
